Hey, Mister Prime Minister!

Unemployed workers will be barred from claiming benefits for up to three years if they repeatedly refuse job offers under radical plans to reform the welfare system, shouts the headline in The Telegraph:

So Dave, tell us please what about all the smallholders and small trades that in the recession has gone bust and others that hover just above the bread line, Mister Prime Minister. And we hear all about cuts, but what about creating jobs in the first place? Or at least create an economical climate to help out people start new businesses, including the farming trade. Lots of young family are hankering to start farming, but all kind of regulations and the problem of finding a decent croft house are impeded, the latter because such houses are prefered to be let out to tourists who spend a week or two in the country while in the rest of the year those houses are empty, reducing whole areas into ghost towns.

Mr. Prime Minister, you and your cronies deserve to be put in a chain gang and do the most menial jobs imaginable, at least you would serve your country far better than as an overpaid politician. You're nothing else than a media-randy heartless sod and one incompetent to boot!

Nothing productive will happen. The well off and politicians will carry on blithely, blindly ignorning the pleas of the poor to their plight. It`s horrifyingly Dickensian fast becoming a reality. I fully foresee in a few decades, an NHS system become nothing more than myth and legend, an education system in which you need be any other nationality except Brit to enter, a mosque in every town and the call to prayer enforced by social bullying ...i.e..the pressure of the PC brigade to ensure we are ostracised should we retain our independance of creed....and a dog eat dog world where the "I`m All Right Jack`s" gleefully stomp the less fortunate into the dirt at every opportunity.
And our politicians? Why, nothing much will have changed there. They will still be elected, by hook or by crook (usually the latter) to run the country (into the ground) on behalf of the common people, happily disregarding both common sense policy and actual, real, need....
Think it won`t happen? Stick around long enough, if you can afford to eat well enough to keep your health going, that is... ;-)
